Backdraft RT3 & RT4 Cobra Grilles
Your Backdraft Already Gets Attention. Finish the Part Everyone Stares At.
Give that wide-open nose some protection and a more finished look. Cobra-Grille.com offers aluminum grille configurations for Backdraft RT3 and RT4 models, with multiple grille styles, finishes and mounting options.
Built Around the Car
A Grille Should Add Something to a Backdraft, Not Just Occupy the Hole.
A Backdraft has enough presence without bolting something generic into the nose. Start with the correct RT3 or RT4 application, then choose the grille style, finish and mounting setup that look intentional with the rest of the car.
The live WooCommerce configurator handles the actual variation, current price and checkout. This page is here to help you decide what you want before you get there.

Protection Matters. So Does Not Making the Car Ugly.
The grille has a practical job, but nobody buys a Backdraft because practicality was the only thing on the list. The pattern, finish and hardware all become part of the face of the car.
“The best grille is the one that looks like the car was always supposed to have it.”

Mounting Options
The Grille Gets the Attention. The Hardware Is What Makes the Detail Feel Finished.
The standard mounting solution does the job. The CNC-machined aluminum upgrade is for the owner who wants even the less-obvious pieces to look like they belong on a serious car.
Standard Mounting Blocks
The normal mounting solution supplied for the grille kit. Straightforward, functional and the right choice when your priority is simply getting the grille installed properly.
CNC-Machined Aluminum Mounts
An upgraded machined-metal mounting solution for owners who care about the hardware as much as the grille itself. It is a detail most people may never notice, which is exactly why some owners want it.
See the Aluminum Mount Upgrade →Finish Choices
Same Backdraft. Completely Different Attitude.
The finish can make the grille disappear into the car or turn it into jewelry. Neither is automatically right. The right answer is the one that works with your paint, wheels, brightwork and overall personality.
3/8-Inch Round Pattern
New round perforations, available flat or convex in raw aluminum or black powder coat for every supported model.
Black Powder Coat
Darker, more restrained and a little meaner. A strong choice when you want the grille to complement the opening rather than dominate it.
Raw Aluminum
Natural aluminum for owners who like the material as-is or have their own plans for the final finish.
One Important Exception
If the Nose Has Been Modified, Repaired or Reworked, Tell Us Before You Order.
RT3 and RT4 identify the application, but individual cars can have histories. Body repairs, custom work or changes around the front opening can affect what is actually in front of you today.
If yours is not a normal, unmodified opening, send us clear photos before ordering. We would rather look at the car first than have you discover an interesting surprise with a wrench in your hand.
Ask About a Modified BackdraftWorth contacting us first if:
- The nose has had collision or body repair
- The grille opening has been reshaped
- Existing mounting points have been changed
- A previous grille or screen used custom hardware
- Something simply looks nonstandard
Installation
Measure Twice. Admire It Repeatedly.
Before installation, review the supplied instructions and understand the mounting plan for your exact grille configuration. Protect the paint, work carefully around the opening and do not force a component that is telling you something is off.
For installation guidance, use the current instructions provided by Cobra-Grille.com for the product you receive.
Backdraft Grille FAQ
Questions Before You Order
Straight answers for RT3 and RT4 owners choosing the grille, finish and mounting setup that belongs on the car.
Which Backdraft models does Cobra-Grille.com support?
Cobra-Grille.com currently offers grille configurations for Backdraft RT3 and RT4 models. Choose the matching application in the live Grille Kit configurator before ordering.
Is the RT3 grille the same as the RT4 grille?
Treat RT3 and RT4 as separate applications and select the model you own in the product configurator. The live configurator is the source of truth for the options currently offered for each model.
What grille finishes are available?
Cobra-Grille.com offers black powder coat and raw aluminum finish choices. Current availability for a specific Backdraft application is shown in the live product configurator.
Can I upgrade the mounting hardware?
Yes. In addition to the standard mounting solution, Cobra-Grille.com offers CNC-machined aluminum mounting blocks as an upgrade.
Does the grille help protect the radiator?
A grille places a physical barrier in the large front opening and can help reduce direct exposure to road debris while preserving airflow through the opening.
Will a grille change the look of my Backdraft?
Yes, intentionally. The grille becomes a visible part of the nose, so pattern, finish and mounting details should complement the rest of the car rather than look like an add-on.
What if my Backdraft has modified bodywork?
If the nose, grille opening or mounting area has been repaired or modified, contact Cobra-Grille.com before ordering. Photos can help confirm whether the standard application is appropriate.
Where do I see current pricing?
Use the Grille Kit product page for current pricing and available options. That keeps the information you see while ordering current.
Can I order directly from this page?
This page explains the Backdraft-specific choices, then takes you to the Grille Kit product page to select your options, see current pricing and place the order.
Should I choose black, bright or raw aluminum?
That is mostly a design decision. Black powder coat gives the opening a darker appearance, while raw aluminum keeps the metal visible. The new 3/8-inch round pattern is available in either finish, flat or convex.
Do I need the aluminum mounting-block upgrade?
No. The standard mounting solution is the normal starting point. The CNC-machined aluminum blocks are an upgrade for owners who want the mounting hardware itself to have a more substantial machined-metal finish.
What should I check before ordering?
Confirm that your car is an RT3 or RT4, consider whether the front opening or mounting area has been modified, then choose the grille style, finish and mounting setup you want.
