Give your Lone Star 66 an aluminum grille that complements the car’s front end. Choose black powder coat or raw aluminum, Round (Standard), Halo/Oval or the new Round (3/8-inch) pattern, and standard or upgraded mounting blocks.
The silhouette may be familiar, but every replica’s grille is not interchangeable. Choose the Lone Star 66 grille for your car, and ask us about fitment if the nose or mounting area has been changed.
Not sure about the fit? Send us a front photo and the details of your car before ordering.
A grille adds a barrier ahead of the radiator and gives the opening a more considered appearance. Fit and alignment matter: the finished result should sit comfortably with the car’s existing lines.

Let the metal show.
Or let the body talk.
Stand back and look at your wheels, side pipes and paint. The finish should make sense with the whole car, not just the opening.
01 / Dark & understated
Black powder coat
Black powder coat gives the opening a darker, quieter treatment. Choose it when you want the body contours and paint to carry the visual weight.
02 / Metal on show
Raw brushed aluminum
Raw brushed aluminum makes the grille more visible and brings a natural metal surface into the front end. It suits a car where the mechanical details are part of the appeal.
Illustrative finishes; actual appearance will vary with lighting.
Three patterns.
Your choice of detail.
Round (Standard) and Halo/Oval are offered in the flat-profile Lone Star 66 grille. The new 3/8-inch round pattern adds a choice of flat or convex shape, in either black powder coat or raw aluminum.

Choose your Lone Star grille
Select Lonestar 66 when ordering. If you are unsure which model you own, send us the car’s details and we can help.
Pick your finish and pattern
Pair black powder coat or raw aluminum with Round (Standard), Halo/Oval or Round (3/8-inch). Select flat or convex for the 3/8-inch option.
Finish with the mounts
Choose the standard Glass Reinforced Plastic blocks or the optional Machined Aluminum upgrade. Select upgraded mounts with the kit to avoid buying a separate set unnecessarily.
Before the first fastener
A little time lining it up.
A lot of time looking at it.
Read the installation guide →Before fitting the grille, read the instructions supplied for your kit and review the installation guide. Check the opening and the mounting area on the actual car before tightening anything.
- Confirm the kit matches the model you ordered.
- Protect the paint around the front opening while working.
- Test the position and alignment before final fastening.
- Stop and ask if a part needs forcing or the mounting area differs from the instructions.
Different nose? Tell us first.
Body repairs, a reshaped opening or previous custom mounts can affect fitment. Send a straight-on front photo, closer views of the mounting area and any details about the work.

Ask a fitment question →Do you offer a grille for the Lone Star 66?
Yes. We offer an aluminum grille for the Lone Star 66 in raw aluminum or black powder coat, with Round (Standard), Halo/Oval or Round (3/8-inch) perforations and standard or upgraded mounting blocks.
Will another Cobra replica’s grille fit my Lone Star 66?
Do not assume another replica’s grille will fit. Front openings and mounting arrangements can differ. Choose the Lone Star 66 application, or contact us if your car has modified bodywork.
What finishes and patterns can I choose for the Lone Star 66?
Choose raw aluminum or black powder coat. Round (Standard) and Halo/Oval use a flat profile; the new Round (3/8-inch) option is available flat or convex. Current pricing is shown when you order.
Are aluminum mounting blocks required?
No. Glass Reinforced Plastic is the standard mounting-block selection. Machined Aluminum is the optional upgrade. If you want aluminum mounts with a new grille, select them with the kit instead of also ordering a separate set.
What if the nose or mounting area has been modified?
Contact us before ordering. Include the model, approximate year if known, a straight-on photo of the front opening and closer views of the mounting area. Mention body repairs, reshaping or previous custom grille hardware.
Does a grille help protect the radiator?
A grille adds a physical barrier in front of the radiator to help intercept road debris. It does not make the radiator damage-proof or guarantee a cooling improvement. Cooling also depends on the radiator, fans, shrouding and the rest of the vehicle.
Where do I find installation instructions?
Use the Cobra-Grille installation guide and the instructions supplied with your kit. Check the application before using any reference dimensions, test-fit the grille and contact us if the mounting arrangement on your car differs.
